Chicago—The Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU) is pleased to announce its renewed collaboration with FG | Talls Solutions as its 2026 Cities for People Premier Program Partner, reinforcing a shared commitment to advance sustainable vertical urbanism through research, innovation, and global engagement. Together, we will leverage our world-renowned research and international network, contributing to solutions that address the most pressing challenges shaping tall buildings and cities today.
Cities are growing upward at an unprecedented pace. With 68 percent of the world’s population projected to live in urban areas by 2050, high-density districts are under increasing strain, from housing affordability and infrastructure capacity to energy consumption, carbon reduction, and equitable access to safe, livable environments. As new standards take shape, organizations influencing vertical expansion must also shape the frameworks by which success is defined.
“Innovation now determines which projects move forward and which do not,” said CVU CEO Javier Quintana de Uña. “Cities are evolving rapidly, capital is more selective, and performance requirements are becoming more stringent across the board. Through the Cities for People Program Partnership, we are working with industry leaders to ensure that new ideas are not only developed, but understood, trusted, and implemented at scale.”
Through the Cities for People Program Partnership, FG | Talls Solutions will engage with CVU over the course of the year, presenting advancements in high-density development, demonstrating leadership across the vertical urbanism ecosystem, and positioning their work as a model for future urban growth.
“True innovation in tall buildings must perform under real-world conditions,” said Stephane Domeneghini, Executive Director of FG | Talls Solutions. “This partnership allows us to extend our work beyond individual projects, contributing to a broader body of knowledge that informs how buildings are designed, delivered, and experienced in rapidly evolving urban contexts.”
The program is structured to do more than showcase ideas. It’s designed to elevate innovation, expand influence, and create tangible opportunity—connecting partners directly with developers, cities, and capital sources shaping the next generation of urban development.
By aligning technical expertise with global visibility, the Cities for People Program Partnership supports partners in securing new business, strengthening brand authority, and engaging the decision-makers defining the future of cities.
