The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is planning to open a new hotel in Takamatsu City, the opening of which is scheduled to occur at the same time as the 2025 World Exposition to be held in Osaka.
The site of the future hotel covers a 5,000-square-meter site on the northern side of the Takamatsu Port Terminal Building.
This would be the second Mandarin-branded hotel in Japan, following the one in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, which opened in 2005.
