A fire broke out on Monday, 17 Febraury, at a residential building in Dubai Marina on Monday afternoon, sending black smoke billowing from the rooftop near Jumeirah Lakes Towers Tram Station. Dubai Civil Defense received the alert at 12:29 p.m., deploying firefighters from Al Marsa Station, who quickly brought the blaze under control. The fire, which originated in the building’s air-conditioning coolers, was contained by 12:44 p.m., with cooling operations concluding an hour later. Witnesses and residents reported seeing flames and hearing sirens as emergency teams managed the situation.

CTBUH has confirmed that the building was 29-story Dream Tower 1 located on Al Marsa Street, originally completed in 2007.
