Aman has announced Aman Seoul, its first property in South Korea, in partnership with Shinsegae Property. The 70,000-square-meter (753,000-square-foot) mixed-use development will rise 38 stories in Cheongdam-dong, part of Seoul’s Gangnam District, on a site overlooking the Han River.
Announced on 2 September 2026, the project will bring together a hotel, an exclusive collection of branded residences, and a members-only Aman Club with a swimming pool, fitness center, and lounge. Shinsegae Property will lead planning, strategy, and overall development, while Aman will shape the architecture, design, and operations, with Aman ultimately managing the hotel, residences, and community facilities under a long-term agreement.
The project positions itself as a private retreat, conceived as a sanctuary above Seoul while staying connected to the energy of one of its most culturally influential districts. Aman Seoul joins a Gangnam luxury hospitality market already anchored by Josun Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, and, more recently, Maison Delano Seoul by Ennismore, reflecting a broader wave of international hospitality brands establishing a presence in the district as South Korea’s global influence in fashion, design, and culture continues to grow.
Aman Seoul marks the brand’s first entry into the South Korean market and follows a July 2026 joint venture between Shinsegae Property and US-based OKO Group targeting ultra-luxury hotels, branded residences, and mixed-use commercial properties across Asia and North America. No construction timeline or completion date has been announced.
