SHoP Architects, a New York-based architecture firm, will soon complete The Brooklyn Tower, which is now the tallest building in the borough. Standing at 74 stories and 1,066 feet (325 meters), the exterior of the building was recently finished, having topped out in March 2023.

The Brooklyn Tower features over 500 residences and retail space at its base. Its base is wider than many other super-tall buildings to accommodate the winds in the area. The tower also has several “wind floors” throughout its height that allow heavy gusts to pass without rocking the structure. One of the taller wind floors has been outfitted with a basketball court, making it the highest in the world. The skyscraper has quickly become one of the most prominent structures on the Brooklyn skyline.
