After completing the 690,000-square-meter Phase I development in 2014, 10 Design (Part of Egis Group) won the international design competition and continues to work on Phase 2 of the Zhuhai CEC, which comprises additional convention spaces, office, and retail components totaling 273,000 square meters.
The design team, led by Design Partner Gordon Affleck and Chief Operating Officer Miriam Auyeung has brought the design to fruition, including an “Urban Ribbon” that flows 1,200 meters around the site linking the city and waterfront, creating a vibrant public realm for Zhuhai.
Upon the Phase 2 completion by early next year, the Zhuhai CEC will offer a platform to support the city’s business activities, further catalyzing the economic development of the entire Greater Bay Area.
