A new residential landmark has risen in Houston’s Montrose district with the completion of Hanover Buffalo Bayou, a 40-story apartment high-rise in the heart of Autry Park. The development adds 317 luxury units and nearly 5,000 square feet (465 square meters) of retail space to the growing mixed-use district along Buffalo Bayou.
Units range from one-bedroom apartments to a 3,300-square-foot (307 square-meter) penthouse. Residences feature stone countertops, wood-style flooring, stainless steel appliances, and walk-in closets, while amenities include a resort-style pool, fitness center, cinema, gaming lounge, business center, and landscaped outdoor courtyards.
The building, developed by Hanover Company in partnership with Mitsui Fudosan America, joins two other Hanover properties in Autry Park. This includes the future plans for Autry Park One, a 117,000-square-foot (10,870-square-meter) office building with additional retail, expanding the district’s live-work-play environment.
Autry Park’s masterplan calls for five high-rises with 1,450 residential units, 350,000 square feet (32,516 square meters) of office space, and over 100,000 square feet (9290 square meters) of curated retail anchored around a central greenspace. The district has already established itself as a dining destination, home to restaurants such as Annabelle Brasserie, Annam, Mayahuel, Turner’s Cut, and Austin’s Emmer & Rye Hospitality, which is slated to debut in Houston by 2026.
In addition to new residences and restaurants, the project includes public infrastructure improvements, with upgraded intersections, crosswalks, and pedestrian access connecting the development to Buffalo Bayou Park.
