A plan to redevelop London’s Euston Tower has been unveiled by Danish architecture practice 3XN. The plan includes the re-use of existing materials and structures, with a mixture of retention, and new ultra-low carbon structures. The redeveloped building will still retain original elements such as the basement, core, and foundations. 3XN plans to reach net carbon zero at the completion of the building by reusing and recycling materials throughout the development. This approach to redevelopment seeks to set a standard for future approaches to addressing the challenge of inflexible, old buildings.

Euston Tower will not increase in height, but the redevelopment will include optimization for larger floor plans and an improved public realm.
