In Austin’s Rainey district, a 41-story condo building has broken ground, starting construction after demolishing existing structures on its .2-hecatre (.4-acre) site.

Developed by Pearlstone Partners and ATCO Properties and Management, Vesper will deliver 284 residences to the area. Located at 84 East Ave. The average unit will be 91 square meters (975 square feet) and will fall in the range of US$500,000 to US$999,000. Ten units will be reserved as affordable housing.

Amenities will include a rooftop clubhouse, sky-deck pool, cabana, outdoor kitchen, fireplace and lounge, fitness studio, dog park and a co-working space.  The rear lobby will have a public art gallery and mural showcasing works by local artists, with pedestrian access to Rainey Street and its restaurants, cafés, live music venues and other entertainment options. The project will pave its section of the alley between Rainey Street and East Avenue, providing pedestrian access from the building directly to Rainey’s retail district.

Project completion is anticipated in 2024.
