On January 19, 2022 the Tokyo Metropolitan Government approved the formation of the redevelopment committee for the Dogenzaka 2 Chome South District Redevelopment. This will see a 155-meter-tall tower built near the west exit of Shibuya Station on the Inokashira Line.

The 30-story high-rise will have office and retail space. A second 60-meter tall building will have hotel and retail. The fourth floor will have a connecting passage to the nearby Shibuya Mark City tower.

Construction is scheduled to start in 2023 with completion in 2026. The total project cost is estimated at ¥76.7 billion Yen (approx. US$675 million).

The 0.8-hectare U-shaped site is currently home to seven older buildings, including several built in the 1960s and 1970s.
