Jaan Roose, an athlete, set a new world record by crossing the world’s longest LED-lit slackline on a single building. The building is one of Qatar’s newest and most iconic architectural landmarks.
The Estonian national, a three-time Slackline World Champion, completed the walk titled “Sparkline” on his first try. The walk covered over 150 meters, the distance between the scimitar-shaped Katara Towers. This walk was not only the longest on a single building, but also Jaan’s highest urban walk to date, at an elevation of over 185 meters on a 2.5cm-wide line.
The Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha are two luxurious hotels facing each other in magnificent curved sword-shaped structures. These towers are among the latest additions to the impressive architectural wonders in Lusail City, and their unique outline stands out against the picturesque Arabian Sea.
