Chrofi, a Sydney-based architectural practice, has won a design competition for two important buildings on the Parramatta riverfront. These include a 52-story mixed-use tower and an eight-story commercial building. The 52-story tower will house a variety of apartments above a five-story podium that will provide 4,000 square meters of commercial and retail space.

At the ground level, there will be an arcade running along the eastern edge of a new urban piazza. This arcade is set to showcase a series of public artworks that have been curated in collaboration with Otis Hope Carey, an artist, and Bangawarra, an Indigenous consultancy group. The artworks will reflect the local Indigenous stories relating to water, sky, and mountains, and will be integrated into the arcade. The tower’s podium and rooftop will have raised gardens for apartment residents. The commercial building’s roof will offer tenants views of the adjacent park and Parramatta River from its green space.
