Construction of the Octagon, a 49-story residential high-rise has been finished, and is now the tallest building in Birmingham. The £110 million project by JRL-owned Midgard, delivers 370 build-to-rent homes, ranging from one- to three-bedroom units priced between £1,400 and £4,925 per month. Amenities include a resident lounge, private dining, co-working spaces, a gym, concierge services, and ground-floor retail.
Part of the £1.2 billion Paradise development, Octagon was developed by MEPC, the development arm of Hermes, before being sold to Singapore-based City Developments Limited. The wider Paradise scheme has seen contributions from Eric Parry, Howells, and Sir Robert McAlpine, with earlier phases delivering office buildings One and Two Chamberlain Square and One Centenary Way.
