Renderings have been released for a 34-story residential tower proposed for 2190 Shattuck Avenue in Downtown Berkeley, continuing the trend for proposed vertical density in the area. The project, submitted this week by property owner Landmark Properties, would rise 360 feet and deliver more than half a million square feet of space, including 530,440 square feet (49,279 square meters) of housing and 7,500 square feet (697 square meters) of ground-floor retail.

Located at Shattuck Avenue and Allston Way, the 0.46-acre site will add 452 apartments ranging from studios to five-bedroom units, and be supported by parking for 51 cars and 295 bicycles. Updated renderings show a scheme consistent with previously approved plans but expanded by nine floors, featuring a facade of plaster panels, metal accents, and decorative balcony railings. A rooftop deck will offer amenities such as a hot tub, dog run, and lounge areas.
