On 16 December 2025, the Hainan Center project reached a major milestone with the topping out of its core structure, formally establishing the building’s primary form. Now standing at 402 meters, the development has already reshaped Hainan’s skyline and is set to reach a final height of 428 meters upon completion.

Developed by Hainan Airport, a subsidiary of Hainan Holdings, and constructed by China Construction Third Bureau, Hainan Center is a key provincial project supporting Hainan’s free trade port strategy and the development of dual headquarters bases. Its core structure topping out comes as the province accelerates preparations for customs closure, marking decisive progress in the project’s delivery.

Once complete, Hainan Center will function as a comprehensive landmark combining 5A Grade A office space, luxury international hotels, and high-end retail and tourism uses. Designed to serve export-oriented enterprises, financial institutions, and foreign-related organizations, the project aims to attract global Fortune 500 companies and strengthen Hainan’s role as a gateway between domestic and international markets. Global leasing of office space is expected to begin in late 2026, followed by the phased launch of premium office and residential units.
