Saudi Arabia’s long-stalled Jeddah Tower has regained momentum, with construction reaching approximately 80 floors as of December 2025. Work resumed in January after a multi-year pause, and crews are now adding a new floor every three to four days using multiple cranes and advanced concrete pumping systems. Rising within Jeddah Economic City on the Red Sea coast, the tower is a flagship project of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aimed at diversifying the economy and elevating the kingdom’s global profile.

Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, Jeddah Tower features a sleek, tapering form with a three-petal footprint engineered to manage wind loads at extreme heights. When completed, it is planned to exceed 1,000 meters, surpassing Dubai’s Burj Khalifa as the world’s tallest building. The mixed-use tower will include a luxury hotel, residences, offices, and one of the world’s highest observation decks.
