The Hallmark, a continuing care retirement and life plan community in Houston, has announced plans to expand its campus with a new 21-story building, Uptown Oaks at The Hallmark, adding 120 independent living units. Construction is expected to begin in 2027, with initial occupancy planned for 2030.
Operated by Brazos Presbyterian Homes, The Hallmark currently offers a full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services. The new tower is intended to complement these offerings while responding to evolving expectations around wellness-focused senior living.
According to the operator, Uptown Oaks is envisioned as a wellness-oriented destination within the campus. Planned amenities include a yoga studio, massage and spa areas, multiple dining venues with city views, an art and hobby studio, café, movie theater, and a pool area, among other shared spaces designed to support active, socially connected lifestyles.
To support early interest, prospective residents are being offered a limited set of incentives, including entrance-fee savings, credits toward residence customization or moving costs, early unit selection, and invitations to members-only programs and events ahead of the building’s opening.
When complete, Uptown Oaks will introduce a new vertical living option to The Hallmark campus, reflecting broader trends toward high-rise, amenity-rich senior housing in major U.S. cities.
