CVU has confirmed that the Tour Triangle in Paris has topped out at 42 stories on 24 April 2026.

Designed by Herzog & de Meuron in collaboration with Valode & Pistre, the mixed-use high-rise marks a rare addition to Paris’s tightly controlled skyline. Its completion at full structural height follows a prolonged and often contentious development process that began over a decade ago.

Located in the city’s 15th arrondissement, the skyscraper introduces a contemporary vertical form into a context historically resistant to high-rise development. Its angular geometry and slender profile distinguish it within the Paris skyline, reflecting ongoing debates around density, heritage, and urban growth in the French capital.

First proposed in 2014, the project faced significant challenges before receiving approval from the city in 2015. Subsequent legal challenges delayed progress, with court clearance granted in 2019. Construction ultimately commenced in 2022 after many delays.

For Tour Triangle, this milestone illuminates the complex negotiation between urban intensification and cultural identity, where the delivery of new high-rise buildings is shaped as much by governance and public perception as by design and engineering.
