On the morning of 6 May, emergency crews responded to a fire at the under-construction high-rise, The Residences Al Habtoor Grand, currently under development near Dubai Harbour.

Smoke from the incident became visible across Dubai Marina and JBR, and according to Dubai Civil Defense, emergency services received the call at 7:06 a.m., with firefighters arriving on site within seven minutes.

Authorities described the incident as a moderate fire and confirmed that no injuries were reported. The blaze was brought under control before 9 a.m., after which crews began cooling operations and site stabilization. An investigation into the cause of the fire is expected to follow.

The 50-story residential project tower remains under construction and is scheduled for completion in 2027.
