Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is opening Japan’s first Waldorf-branded hotel in Tokyo in 2026. The hotel will occupy the 39th to 47th floors within the Nihonbashi 1 Chome Central District Redevelopment.
Hotel rooms will range in size from 60-197 square meters (646-2,120 square feet). Guests will be able to enjoy an indoor pool, spa, fitness center, banquet hall, chapel, three restaurants, and the Peacock Alley lounge and bar.
The 287-meter tall, 51-story mixed-use development is located near the old Nihonbashi Bridge and Nihonbashi River. The lower floors will include serviced apartments, office space, conference facilities, and retail. The building design was carried out by Nikken Sekkei, with Mitsui Fudosan, Nomura Real Estate Co. Ltd., and Nomura Holdings in charge of the development.
