A complex focused on leisure and tourism reaching 266 meters has been proposed in Zhanjiang.
The city’s harbor culture influenced the design of Zhanjiang Yunhai No. 1, which is connected to the city center via the Zhanjiang Bay Bridge. The design by Aedas for the Zhanjiang Leji Investment Co.,Ltd project is inspired the motion of a leaping koi fish, and the podium has a streamlined wave shape.
With a total construction area of 326,315 square meters, the complex will include hotels, serviced apartments, residential towers, retail streets, and open leisure space. A commercial podium in the center of the project will feature an inlaid digital art installation. Other amenities include an outdoor infinity pool, stepped landscape lawn, and sky restaurant.
The project is aiming to be an “all-weather tourist resort,” taking the city’s southeast monsoon climate and daylight conditions into its layout considerations.
Project completion is anticipated in 2024.
