CVU has confirmed that Tour F, a 421-meter supertall office building in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, is nearing completion, and has structurally topped out. After a construction history stretching back nearly 50 years, according to Property News Africa and New Atlas, the project designed by Lebanese-Ivorian architect Pierre Fakhoury for the Ivorian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Urban Planning in partnership with PFO Africa, is expected to surpass Egypt’s 393.8-meter Iconic Tower to become the tallest building in Africa.
The 75-story skyscraper’s faceted glass facade is designed to evoke a stylized African mask, with two symmetrical main faces that taper inward toward a horizontally truncated crown. A glass lantern roughly 30 meters tall sits atop the structure and is planned to open to the public, offering a 360-degree view of Abidjan and the Ébrié Lagoon. The building’s approximately 140,000 square meters of floor area is intended to consolidate government ministries and administrative units currently scattered across the city.
The estimated €450 million construction cost is being financed as part of a broader plan to double the office and parking capacity of Abidjan’s administrative district. Developers have targeted 2026 for completion.
