Developers have submitted plans for a new 47-story skyscraper in Croydon, which will include nearly 800 flats.
Greystar’s proposed development at One Lansdowne Road will consist of two towers, one at 35 stories and the other at 47 stories, as well as a public green square and shopping space. The buildings will also offer office space, cinema rooms, a gym, and lounges. The public realm of the site will be expanded with a new pedestrian crossing across Wellesley Road.
Greystar, the company responsible for the Ten Degrees towers located across from East Croydon railway station, has been tasked with constructing these towers. The development will include a total of 545 homes and span 44 floors.
Based on planning documents from HTA Design on behalf of Greystar, two public consultations were conducted in March to review the design. The creation of a new public green space was well-received, particularly given the absence of similar areas in the local community.
