A new landmark is set to redefine the skyline of Ulaanbaatar with the 243 meter Eco Tower One, designed by Aedas. The project recently announced that Hilton will introduce its luxury Conrad Hotels and Resorts brand to Mongolia for the first time through Conrad Ulaanbaatar. Founder and Chairman Keith Griffiths, Executive Director Kelvin Hu and Director Fay Zhou of Aedas were at the signing ceremony on 20 March 2026 between Eco Construction LLC and Conrad Ulaanbaatar celebrating the deal.

The hotel will occupy floors 25 through 39, including a sky lobby on the 37th floor with panoramic views across the city and surrounding mountains. The hospitality component will include 227 guest rooms and suites, four dining venues, approximately 1,800 square meters of meeting space, and wellness facilities such as an indoor pool and spa.

The building’s design draws inspiration from the mountainous landscape surrounding the Mongolian capital. Its windmill-like plan and sculpted vertical grooves are intended to echo the contours of the distant plateau while also enhancing aerodynamic performance in the city’s harsh climate. The façade’s flowing curves are also conceived as a contemporary architectural interpretation of traditional Mongolian dance movements, embedding local cultural identity into the building’s expression. Additionally, extensive wind tunnel testing has informed the streamlined form, improving structural stability and natural ventilation.

By combining hospitality, cultural expression, and high-performance design, Eco Tower One is positioned to become a defining symbol of Ulaanbaatar’s next phase of vertical urban growth. The building is expected to be completed in 2028.
