An ambitious project promoted by the developer Integrate in Guatemala is planned to involve an investment of US$57 million and 90,000 square meters of construction across four apartment towers.
The real estate arm of the AICSA Corporación will be building a mixed-use complex in Zone 5 consisting of four apartment towers and a first level shared with nine commercial premises.
The project, dubbed “Céntrico,” is inspired by its proximity to the city center, as well as the corporate and hospitality areas.
The project’s towers will have a height of 14 levels, 497 apartments, four basements, and 900 parking spaces. In total, it will add 90,000 square meters of space to become one of the largest projects in the city.
“We see it as the new heart of Zone 5,” said the Director-General of Integrate, Jorge Mario Figueroa.
Figueroa stressed that the project will have a positive impact on the area, since it will increase the surplus-value of the sector, will drive services and commerce, and bring premium apartments to the area.
On the other hand, as part of the development of Céntrico, around the project, sidewalks with a measure of five meters, lighting, and urbanization will be built.
“The idea was to leave a linear park throughout the project for the residents of the area,” he added.
The architectural design of Céntrico is inspired by the urban landscape of Europe.
Its construction began at the end of December 2019 with the first phase scheduled to be completed at the beginning of 2021. In total there will be four phases, one for each tower, with the entirety planned for delivery in three years.
