The main construction contract for the 40-story W Residences at Dubai Harbour has been awarded, marking a significant milestone for one of Dubai’s new high-profile waterfront developments. Operated by Marriott International, the LEED Silver–certified development introduces a high-density residential component to the Dubai Harbour master plan. The project will include a mix of apartments, duplexes, and rooftop penthouses with private pools, offering panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s skyline. All residences will incorporate smart home technology, floor-to-ceiling glazing, and premium finishes designed to maximize views toward landmarks such as Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, and Bluewaters Island.
The amenity program reinforces the lifestyle-driven positioning of branded residential towers in the region. Plans include what is described as the longest infinity pool in Dubai, a 40,000-square-foot (3,716 square meters) Wellfit fitness center, residents’ lounges, co-working spaces, guest suites, dining venues, and entertainment facilities including a cinema, sports simulator room, and music studio.
The project is under UAE developer Arada who has given the construction contract to Engineering Contracting Company. The enabling works, including excavation and piling, are already underway following the earlier award of a foundation contract to APCC Piling & Marine Contracting. The project, valued at AED5 billion overall, will deliver 490 branded residences distributed across three towers, connected by a landscaped podium hosting shared amenities. The AED1.55 billion (US$422 million) contract covers delivery of all three high-rises within the mixed-use luxury destination.
W Residences forms part of the broader Dubai Harbour master plan developed by Shamal Holding, which integrates luxury residential, retail, hospitality, cruise terminal facilities, and yachting infrastructure within one of the Middle East’s most prominent seafront districts. The city continues to evolve its waterfront districts through high-rise branded residential development.
