The Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU) is proud to announce its ongoing collaboration with constructsteel as a 2026 Sustainability Premier Program Partner, reinforcing a shared commitment to advancing low-carbon, high-performance urban development at scale.

Through this partnership, constructsteel will take a leading role in demonstrating what sustainability actually delivers in tall buildings and urban districts: measurable carbon reduction, resilience, and performance that holds up in the real world.

That leadership is grounded in a growing body of applied work. Across global markets, constructsteel is advancing practical solutions—from life cycle assessment to modular and circular construction systems—that are reducing embodied carbon while improving building performance, adaptability, and long-term resilience.

“Sustainability claims are everywhere. What’s been missing is proof,” said Javier Quintana de Uña, CEO of CVU. “Our close collaboration with constructsteel shows the industry exactly what works and sets the standard for a new category of performance-validated sustainability.”

Through the Sustainability Premier Program Partnership, constructsteel and other participants showcase verified outcomes, share the methods behind their progress, and connect that knowledge to the people who actually shape cities, including investors, policymakers, and developers. Steel is not a legacy; it is a material delivering measurable climate impact today.

“The shift is from ambition to accountability,” said Terrence Busuttil, Director at constructsteel. “This program puts proven solutions where they matter most: in the hands of decision-makers shaping urban futures.”

Buildings and construction drive nearly 37 percent of global emissions. With urbanization accelerating, the industry faces a critical choice: innovate at scale or fall behind. Sustainability in Action, with constructsteel‘s leadership, is setting a new baseline, where sustainability is more than aspirational—it’s demonstrable, marketable, and non-negotiable.
