MERED has appointed NSCC International to deliver the enabling works for Riviera Residences, its waterfront development designed by Herzog & de Meuron on Al Reem Island. NSCC International will lead all piling and shoring activities, marking the first major construction milestone for the project.
Riviera Residences is located within the Abu Dhabi Global Market, an area known for its international schools, offices, healthcare facilities, and leisure amenities, and one that continues to attract strong investor interest. According to MERED, off-plan prices in the district rose 38 percent year over year in Q2 2025. The development will comprise more than 400 apartments and 12 villas, including sky villas, ocean villas, and a penthouse. Its architecture blends contemporary design with references to Abu Dhabi’s pearl-diving heritage, expressed through mother-of-pearl façades that reflect natural light.
Residents will have access to a comprehensive suite of amenities, including four swimming pools, fitness and wellness spaces, indoor and outdoor yoga decks, padel and table tennis courts, and areas designed for family and social gatherings. With enabling works now underway, Riviera Residences moves closer to becoming one of Al Reem Island’s most distinctive new waterfront residential communities.
