Leading international façade specialist, Permasteelisa Group, has completed its work for Brookfield Properties’ on its One Leadenhall development in the City.

The 165.2 meter, 32-story tower, designed by Make Architects, features a four-story masonry “street block” reflecting the character of neighboring buildings, topped by three aluminum and glass blades. Panoramic views from every floor will ensure tenants feel connected to the surrounding cityscape.

One Leadenhall will provide 40,000 square meters of office accommodation, with a free public terrace and retail space on the ground floor. The building is targeting BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Gold enabled.

Permasteelisa Group designed, engineered and manufactured the façade for the client and developer Brookfield Properties. A total of 27,080 square meters of façade elements brought the development to life, including 25,600 square meters of unitized panels with structural silicone glazing made of double insulated glass, and 1,500 square meters of stick system façade.

The lower levels of the building include external features made of glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC).

Jalal Fitoury, CEO for Permasteelisa Group in Europe, comments: “We have safely and successfully handed over our work at One Leadenhall, which adds to our already very impressive portfolio of buildings that have helped shape the London skyline.

“We have worked with Multiplex, Make and Brookfield Properties on numerous schemes and look forward to continuing these valued working relationships well into the future.”

Permasteelisa Group operates in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East and is a CVU Gold member. In London alone the company has contributed to the development of over 250 buildings since 1968.
