Fire safety and acoustic solutions manufacturer Siderise has successfully completed a comprehensive two-year reassessment under the UK-based Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI), expanding the number of products carrying the CCPI Mark and reinforcing the industry’s growing emphasis on transparent, verifiable product information.
The independent review examined not only the company’s products, but also the management systems, leadership practices, and organizational culture surrounding the creation, management, and communication of product data. The reassessment follows Siderise’s initial participation in the CCPI scheme in 2023, when its CW-FS Firestop range for curtain wall applications became one of the first product families to complete the program’s rigorous evaluation process.
The latest review highlighted a strong internal culture focused on product integrity and fire safety. The company noted that its CCPI program aligns with broader initiatives, including PAS 2000 requirements for construction product information and ongoing investments in specification support tools, technical documentation, and professional competency programs. Feedback gathered from employees during the assessment process pointed to a consistent commitment to providing accurate product information and prioritizing safety throughout the organization.
Alongside the reassessment, Siderise has added several new products to its portfolio of CCPI-marked solutions. These include acoustic barriers and fireboards for curtain wall systems, as well as firestop and cavity barrier products for industrial cladding applications. The additions build on earlier certifications covering cavity barriers, firestops, and cavity trays used in cladding and masonry wall construction.
The CCPI was developed by the Construction Product Association in response to industry-wide calls for greater transparency and accountability in the marketing and specification of construction products. The framework emerged following recommendations from the Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety and seeks to ensure that product information is clear, accurate, accessible, current, and unambiguous.
For manufacturers, demonstrating compliance increasingly extends beyond product testing alone. It also requires robust processes for managing technical information, supporting accurate specification, and ensuring that those communicating product performance are appropriately trained and qualified. As regulators, designers, contractors, and building owners place greater emphasis on building safety and information transparency, frameworks such as the CCPI are becoming an increasingly important component of the construction sector’s efforts to improve confidence in product selection and specification across the built environment.
