The board of directors of the local public establishment Paris La Défense announced on Monday, 3 January, 2022 that it had decided not to approve the sales promises with the company Hermitage for its twin tower project in the business center, ending a nearly fourteen-year standoff with Russian promoter Emin Iskenderov.
The now-cancelled project, named “Hermitage Plaza”, consisted of the construction of two 320-meter-high skyscrapers with luxury residences, offices, hotels and shops, in place of residential buildings built in 1974.
The board of directors of Paris La Défense deliberated until the last moment. The transactional protocol, established at the end of a mediation procedure conducted under the aegis of the judicial tribunal of Nanterre, in fact gave until December 31 to the Russian promoter at the origin of the project to have the sales agreements signed.
