Construction of the Guitar Hotel Las Vegas, located on the Strip, is steadily advancing, with 28 floors now built of the building’s planned 42 stories, placing the project firmly on track for its scheduled opening in 2027.

Rising on the site that was formally known as The Mirage, the guitar-shaped building is the centerpiece of Hard Rock International’s comprehensive redevelopment of the property. The lower 100 feet (30.5 meters) of the structure will accommodate the first five floors, while the remaining 560 feet (171 meters) will contain 675 hotel rooms and suites. Already visible from both ends of the resort corridor, the tower is being clad in two shades of blue glass, with nearly a dozen floors already fitted.

The new building is part of a complete transformation of the former Mirage complex into Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. The existing tri-tower structure that has been closed since 2024, has been fully gutted and is undergoing a top-to-bottom reconfiguration, including a new blue-glass façade designed to visually align with the new vertical landmark. When completed, the renovated building will feature larger standard hotel rooms, a reimagined interior layout, and a significantly expanded casino floor.

The integrated resort upon completion will offer nearly 3,600 hotel rooms, approximately 175,000 square feet (16,258 square meters) of gaming space, two spas, multiple pool areas, live entertainment venues, and a broad mix of restaurants, lounges, and retail spaces. Together, the new construction and adaptive reuse components reflect a large-scale reinvention of one of the Strip’s most recognizable sites.

Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, acquired The Mirage in 2022 for US$1.075 billion from MGM Resorts International. Redevelopment began immediately after the property closed in July 2024, with Hard Rock targeting a fourth-quarter 2027 opening for its flagship Las Vegas resort.
