Otis has been selected to provide high-performance vertical transportation systems for Armani Hallson KLCC, an upscale residential development rising in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. The project is being delivered in collaboration with Malaysian construction firm Vestland and comprises three high-rise towers with distinct residential and office programs.
The development includes two Small Office, Versatile Office (SOVO) towers, each rising 80 stories. These towers will be served by a total of 18 high-speed SkyRise elevators, operating at speeds of up to 7 meters per second. The elevators are arranged in banks of nine per tower and are supported by the Compass® 360 Destination Management System, designed to optimize traffic flow and reduce wait times in high-density vertical environments.
A third Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) tower will rise 70 stories and will be equipped with eight SkyRise elevators traveling at speeds of up to 6 meters per second, arranged in two banks of four. Together, the systems are intended to support efficient vertical circulation across the mixed-use development while maintaining a high level of passenger comfort.
All elevators will be equipped with Otis ONE™ digital connectivity and eView™ in-car smart screens, providing real-time information and enhancing the user experience. In the event of an emergency, passengers can connect via voice or video directly to the OTISLINE™ customer care center. Each elevator is also fitted with a ReGen™ drive, which captures energy typically lost as heat during operation and feeds it back into the building’s electrical system, contributing to overall energy efficiency.
The installation underscores the growing role of intelligent elevator technologies in supporting supertall and high-density developments, particularly in fast-growing urban centers such as Kuala Lumpur, where vertical mobility is critical to building performance and occupant experience.
