About
Andrew Lee is an architect and senior designer at SOM with experience across a broad range of project types. Having worked in Tokyo and Paris before joining SOM’s New York office, Andrew returned in recently to his hometown of Toronto. As the firm’s Canada Practice Lead, he serves as a local project leader and spearheads business development in Canada.
In New York, Andrew worked as a senior designer on Moynihan Train Hall, a pivotal adaptive reuse project that transformed the city’s former main post office into a mixed-use destination with offices, retail, and a world-class transportation hub. With design experience ranging from commercial and residential developments to transportation facilities, Andrew focuses on how these project types can bring shared benefits through the development of transit-oriented communities. This approach is especially important at a moment in which Canada’s growing urban population has spurred transformative investments in infrastructure. Andrew thrives on the challenges posed by complex civic projects and values the opportunity to build relationships across varied stakeholder groups.
