Cem Ozer

About

Cem Ozer is a Structural Engineer with over 30 years of professional experience. He has extensive experience in structural design and seismic evaluation of medium to high rise structures in high risk seismic zones.

Graduated from Istanbul Technical University Department Civil Engineering, Mr. Ozer attended and graduated from Earthquake Engineering Master’s Program at State University of New York. He has worked in design of highway structures in the State of New York between 1996 and 2000.

From 2000 till 2004 he has been employed by world renowned Skidmore, Owings & Merrill company as senior structural engineer in their San Francisco Office. Cem Ozer, a Professional Engineer Licensed in California, has served as Lead Project Engineer in several large-scale commercial, residential and office building projects in the United States and Far East Asia.

In 2004, he established a Structural design company called STATICA in Istanbul. Since then STATICA has become a well-recognized design company with National and International prestigious and award-winning projects. STATICA has been the recipient of Turkish National Steel Structure Design award in 2014 and 2018 by Turkish Steel Construction Association for outstanding design of İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport Terminal and ZIN-2 Tower Projects.

In 2008 Mr. Ozer has taken on the role of establishing Turkish Sister Company of Peikko Group and since then has been leading Peikko Türkiye, focusing on connections of precast structures and challenging projects in high seismic areas.

Mr. Ozer is a member of Turkish Seismic Code Committee since 2004. He has authored several technical papers on seismic design of structures and is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars. Cem Ozer is currently a lecturer at Yeditepe University, teaching courses on Earthquake Resistant Design of Structures.
