About
30 years’ experience undertaking and delivering multi-disciplinary building designs for all stages of a project’s lifecycle. Specialising in the design and construction of major buildings and transport infrastructure. Leading design teams working from inception, through option identification and selection, through planning, detailed design and construction to handover. Leading by example, his teams deliver efficient and durable designs that are safe to construct, maintain and ultimately de-construct.
Commercially astute and able to present to and advise clients on all engineering issues, including concept design, buildability, construction techniques, detailed design, procurement routes and risk assessment.
Experience from working across different Sectors for clients with a variety of backgrounds, has developed the ability to analyse and quickly validate options, which is especially critical for the successful delivery of projects. These evaluation skills enable him and his team to focus on what design solutions meet stakeholder’s needs (i.e. performance) while developing cost effective and safe solutions that are acceptable to external stakeholders.
