Christian Pichler
About
Christian Pichler was born in 1971 in Villach, Austria. After his graduation in1999 at the Technical University of Innsbruck he worked in Paris, first for Dietmar Feichtinger Architectes on the construction project of the Passerelle Simone de Beauvoir, and then for Chaix & Morel et Associés, in particular on the planning of sports arenas.
When he returned to Austria he joined ATP-Vienna and BEHF-Architects before founding his own studio in 2007 and later on, in 2014, Christian Anton Pichler ZT GmbH. In addition to his teaching position at the Institute for Design at the Technical University of Innsbruck and the management of his own projects, a close partnership with Chaix & Morel started to emerge.
They've implemented several projects together in Vienna, including the Viertel Zwei Plus campus and the recently completed renovation and extension of the headquarters of the Austrian Social Insurance Institution.
