Danny has worked in commercial real estate for the last 37 years in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. After serving in the United States Air Force Reserve and working for a mechanical contractor in the 70’s he began his current career path starting as a stationary engineer in 1981 at Embarcadero Center in San Francisco. He joined Boston Properties in 2002 as Director of Engineering and continued relevant industry studies while worked his way up the career ladder to his current position with Boston Properties as Vice President of Engineering for the West Coast. In his role, he oversees and directs facilities operation & maintenance, infrastructure capital improvement projects as well as leads due diligence on acquisition, disposition and development opportunities. His years of operating experience allow him to bring unique perspective to his management role. Being involved in energy and water efficiency projects dating back to the early 1980’s, he has participated in the evolution of technological advancements and applications in the built environment. Today his portfolio of buildings on the West Coast include multiple high-rise office buildings, low-rise office and single story commercial R&D buildings and parking structures. Danny has been an integral part of all development projects, including Salesforce Tower, the tallest office tower west of Chicago. He serves as the chair of the Boston Properties Corporate Safety Committee as well as an active member on the Corporate Sustainability Committee. Danny chairs the Stationary Engineers Apprenticeship Committee and is a co-chair employer Trustee on the Stationary Engineers union benefits funds.
