Donald Friedman is president of Old Structures Engineering, a consultancy for historic and old buildings. A professional engineer with over 30 years’ experience, Friedman holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an M.A. in Historical Studies from the New School for Social Research. He is a Fellow of the Associ-ation for Preservation Technology and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
