About
As a Principal Fire Consultant, Georgina has experience providing fire engineering solutions for tall building projects across the UK and the Middle East incorporating new developments, redevelopments, retrofits and remediation projects. She is known for pragmatic, creative solutions on complex schemes with competing constraints.
With a PhD and MSc in fluid dynamics, Georgina specialises in performance-based design, using engineering analysis to show that a building is safe rather than relying only on prescriptive guidance. On tall and complex buildings, this approach can open up design options, resolve difficult layouts and reduce unnecessary cost while keeping life safety at the centre of the design. Her analysis includes CFD modelling of fire and smoke, evacuation modelling, smoke control design, structural fire engineering, time equivalence analysis and radiant heat assessments.
Georgina works best as part of the design team from an early stage, where fire engineering can shape the design rather than constrain it. She welcomes conversations with architects and developers looking to bring fire strategy into their high-rise projects early.
