Gerald Larson s a Professor Emeritus of Architecture at the University of Cincinnati, where he taught architecture and architectural history for over 40 years. His research project has been the skyscraper and the Chicago School of Architecture. He has authored articles and spoken on these topics in a variety of international forums. He is completing a two-volume history (pre-Fire and post-Fire) of Chicago’s architecture that spans from Fort Dearborn to the 1893 Columbian Exposition. He has two Instagram sites: “thearchitectureprofessor” in which he discusses topics on architecture, and “thearchprofessorinchicago” in which he is conducting a chronological survey of Chicago’s architecture.
