Xu Hang established Mindray in 1991, now one of the most respected names in the Chinese medical equipment industry, as well as the country’s largest high-tech medical equipment manufacturer and a global leader in innovative medical equipment. Mindray has expanded its business to more than 190 countries and regions worldwide. In September 2006, Mindray was listed on the New York Stock Exchange (Code MR).

Mr. Xu established Pengrui Investment Group Co., Ltd. in 2001, primarily to invest in the development of new investment enterprises. Its core business scope includes new energies, high-tech environmental protection, real estate and ecotourism project development. At present, the company has branches in Shenzhen, Beijing and Guangzhou and has invested in a number of environmental projects and high-tech companies in these areas, as well as being active in the Pearl River Delta, New York and other key cities throughout the world.

After enjoying significant success in the medical field, Mr. Xu began work on the development and operation of “One Shenzhen Bay”– Shenzhen’s landmark high-end urban complex. The total construction area is more than 475,000 square meters and features a 350m main tower. One Shenzhen Bay has won prizes from all over the world, such as “5 Stars Best Apartment “,” Highly Commended Mixed-use Development”,” Residential Property Interior(Show Home)”and”2015 winner of mixed use project”and so on.

Mr. Xu is not only a successful entrepreneur, but also a kind-hearted, generous gentleman who is willing to take on social responsibilities. He contributes a lot to society, especially in the fields of education and healthcare. Some of his main contributions include the following: donations to CEIBS for the establishment of the “Parkland Professor Taught Seat”, funding for the New Tsinghua School and the Tsinghua University Innovation Institute, donating medical equipment to the hospital of Tsinghua University many times; to assistance to developing counties in Yunnan, Jilin, Hunan and Anhui provinces for medical equipment, as well as regular donations to non-profit Organizations and Charities every year.
