As the Managing Director of Cerami, part of Trinity Consultants, Jim oversees all aspects of the company’s operations as well as its greatest asset, the 150+ engineers who count on his 30 years of experience to guide them. Jim’s impact on the acoustic and technology consulting firm’s day-to-day operations is only second to the influence he has had on America’s skyline.
Jim thrives on projects that require intricacy and complexity; seeing and more often hearing problems before they arise. Not surprisingly, he is most celebrated for his expertise in high-rise buildings and sustainable urban design. From new construction to renovation to adaptive reuse, he brings a holistic design approach to ensure the building owners' and tenants’ unique needs are met. Jim’s astounding portfolio includes One Vanderbilt in New York City, Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia, Salesforce Tower in San Francisco and CIBC Square in Toronto.
With so much design history behind him and so much potential in front of him, Jim offers up subtle teaching moments at every opportunity, and is always looking to learn from other managers through the 30 or so books he devours each month.
