Javier Sesma is Senior Advisor and Independent Board member at various Public and Private organizations C-Level executive with 30+ years in the industry sector (Technology driven capital goods, construction, and infrastructures) has strong experience in new markets & business development, innovation, consultancy and digital transformation, sales, operations, services and project management. Customer focus and long-term relationship building with key stakeholders: global key accounts, large projects and strategic alliances. Global positioning and presence at Industry Forums and Associations.

Sesma was till February 2026 SVP of global Business Development globally at TK Elevator where he was responsible to support the growth and business expansion of TKE business with global Key Accounts, major projects, and strategic partnerships. During his +28 ternure at TKE ha build strong competencies on Business Development, innovation and internationalization with international assignments in USA, UK and Germany.

During 14 years has led the global team at TK Elevator Innovation Center, which has contributed significantly to the success and Global product launch of some of TKEs innovative technologies, like iwalk, ACCEL, MULTI, Automatic Docking Assistance (ADA) for Airport Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs), MAX IoT cloud platform or HoloLinc among others. Generating more than 80 patents worldwide and contributing significantly to position TK Elevator within the innovation leaders in urban mobility and digitalization.

Amongst his professional experience has served in various public and academic advisory boards such: COTEC foundation for Innovation (chaired by his majesty Felipe VI), Innovation in Spain Foundation (Founder Board member) or established TKE,s Chair in Mobility at University of Oviedo amongst others. Since 2019 Sesma is Board member or the Association of Spanish Executives (APD) which is the largest International Association of Spanish executives word-wide.

Sesma holds Master of Science on Construction engineering, Master of Advanced Studies on Business administration and PostDoc studies by ESMT Berlin and IE business Shool. Is co-inventor of +10 patents on vertical and horizontal transportation technologies, frequent speaker on international conferences, academia and industry associations. Collaborates on Executive Education programs at Business schools and is accredited Board member on Governance by IGE (IGNN member)
