About

Jeroen Schipper (1966) is a founding partner of Orange Architects, a multidisciplinary design firm from Rotterdam - The Netherlands, working in the fields of architecture, interior design and urban planning.

Jeroen studied architecture at the Eindhoven University of Technology, where his graduation project was nominated for the Archiprix (best graduation project) in 1991.
Following his studies Jeroen worked for Mecanoo Architects in Delft and in 1994 he was awarded a grant by the Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture in Amsterdam.

In 1995, Jeroen founded JSA (Jeroen Schipper Architecten) in Rotterdam, working on a variety of projects in the Netherlands since.

In 2010 Jeroen founded Orange Architects, first as a joint venture between 3 Dutch architecture offices for projects abroad, as of 2013 as an independent studio.

Jeroen is and has been a member of local Building Regulations and Historic Buildings Committees, in Rotterdam (2004 – 2010), and as of January 2012 as a chairman in Amsterdam.

Ever since 1990 Jeroen Schipper has taught at different architecture schools in the Netherlands (Rotterdam, Delft, Amsterdam, Arnhem, Eindhoven).
