Mr. John R. S. Jacobsson, has been an Executive Vice President at The Related Companies, L.P., Investment Arm since March 6, 2013. Mr. Jacobsson leads the capital markets activities in the United States and internationally at The Related Companies, as well as work on new investments for its funds business. He is a member of the senior management team, new investment and business opportunities and building upon Related Companies' relationships with the global institutional investor community. He was Partner of AREA Property Partners until 2011. Mr. Jacobsson was a Managing Partner at AREA Property Partners (Apollo Real Estate Advisors). He originally joined AREA at the time of its founding in 1993 and was, until the end of 2011, a Partner and the Head of North America Opportunity Funds Business, overseeing AREA's opportunistic investments in the U.S. and Mexico. Mr. Jacobsson spent all of 2012 and the early part of 2013 on his own independent business, working with operating partners on individual real estate investment transactions. Mr. Jacobsson serves as Vice President and Secretary at Metropolis Realty Holdings LLC. Mr. Jacobsson has been associated with Apollo since its founding in 1993 and is a Partner responsible for new investments and investment management. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Jacobsson was a Member of the Acquisitions group of Trammell Crow Company, where he executed investment transactions on behalf of an opportunistic real estate investment fund. Mr. Jacobsson graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Harvard College in 1990.
