About

Joseph Chou is President of Taipei 101 (Taipei Financial Center Corp.) since March 2015. He has been a professor of the public finance department in National Chengchi University in Taiwan since 1996. Being an economist with over 20 years of extensive and diverse work experience in industrial organization, innovation study and private-public partnership, he specializes in big data research to support program evaluations and policy development. He has consulted extensively for corporations, government agencies, and international NGOs. Prior to joining Taipei 101, Mr. Chou was serving as a Director of Taiwan Financial Holding Corp. (the largest state-owned bank in Taiwan). He was also an Executive Director for Chunghwa Association of Public Finance (CAPF) and was in charge of international liaison and regional cooperation.

Joseph Chou majored in physics at National Tsing Hua University and holds a Ph. D. in Economics from Virginia Tech, USA.
