Joseph Dardis

About

Joe Dardis is a Professional Engineer and career advocate for structural steel. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, an MS in Civil Engineering from Cleveland State University, and a BS in Civil Engineering from Ohio University.

Currently, Joe serves as the Head of Presales for Construction Projects at ArcelorMittal in Chicago. In this role, he is responsible for technical oversight of ArcelorMittal products in North America, spearheads marketing initiatives, champions sustainability efforts, and manages the presales team.

Previously, Joe held various roles at the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), including Senior Structural Steel Specialist and Steel Solutions Center Advisor. He was also the author of the “Data Driven” series in Modern Steel Construction magazine, covering the latest in construction and steel economics.

He actively participates in industry organizations, such as the American Institute of Steel Construction and the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois, and serves as the Materials Assembly Chair for the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
