About

Joseph Moinian founded The Moinian Group in 1982 and serves as Chief Executive Officer and President. Under Mr. Moinian’s leadership, The Moinian Group has grown to become one of the nation’s largest privately held real estate firms, owning and managing a portfolio of real estate assets valued at more than $10 billion and comprising over 20 million square feet of property.

A crucial element in Mr. Moinian’s vision for the firm has been his relentless focus on investing in areas and projects that have the potential to grow into strong assets in the future. This has driven The Moinian Group to pioneer efforts to develop emerging neighborhoods both in New York City and in major metropolitan areas across the United States. Mr. Moinian was one of the first developers to make new investments in Lower Manhattan in the early 1990s, and has been at the forefront of the development of Manhattan’s Far West Side for more than two decades, owning more than 4 million square feet of buildable land along 11th Avenue.

With one marquee project nearing completion – Sky, the 1,175-unit luxury residential rental building at 605 West 42nd Street– and another on the horizon – the 1.8 million-square-foot mixed-use office tower 3 Hudson Boulevard – Mr. Moinian continues to set a new standard of excellence in the real estate industry across both commercial and residential development.
