Josh Chaiken, a Principal at Kohn Pedersen Fox, has played a key role in the design of a number of KPF’s most high-profile projects throughout the United States, Canada, and Asia. Since joining KPF in 1986, he has led the design of a range of hotels and mixed-use developments, high-rise office buildings, corporate headquarters, retail venues, residences, and academic/institutional facilities. Mr. Chaiken has served as Senior Designer on a variety of high-profile projects including the 101-story Shanghai World Financial Center, one of the world’s tallest buildings. Hosting a dynamic program including office, retail, a Park Hyatt Hotel, and public “Sky Walk” on the 100th floor, this iconic structure has been recognized with several prestigious design awards including the Society of American Registered Architects’ Design Award for Excellence (2009), the American Council of Engineering Companies National Engineering Excellence Awards Honor Award (2009), the MIPIM Asia Awards’ Participants
